These terms of service ('Terms') form a binding agreement between you and Kadonneet Esineet Saas Platform Oy (Business ID: 3553502-1, 'Controller', 'we') regarding the use of the Kadonneet Esineet web service ('Service').

Service Description
Kadonneet Esineet is a platform that enables connecting lost item owners and finders through QR codes. We act solely as a technical intermediary and are not a party to item returns.
Age Limit and Access Rights
- The Service is intended for persons at least 13 years old
- Persons under 18 may use the service only with guardian permission
- Paid subscriptions require explicit guardian consent for persons under 18
- The Service is intended for consumers only (B2C), currently not for businesses (B2B). If you are a business customer, please contact customer service.
Orders and Payments
Pricing:
- Current prices can be found on our website
- All prices include value added tax (VAT)
- We reserve the right to change prices with prior notice
Payment processing:
- Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. processes payments
- We do not store your payment card details
- You also accept Stripe's terms of service
Subscription renewal:
- Annual subscription renews automatically
- We clearly inform about automatic renewal during subscription
- We send reminder message before renewal charge
- You can cancel renewal anytime from account management
Cancellation and Return Rights
Right of cancellation for annual subscription:
You have the right to cancel your subscription at any time from your account. However, the subscription continues until the end of the current billing period. The service starts immediately after payment, but if you cancel within 14 days, we will refund the full payment without any fees. If you want a refund within 14 days of placing the order: 1. Cancel your subscription from your account 2. Contact customer service (support(a)kadonneet.fi) for the refund We will refund the full payment within 14 days using the same payment method. After 14 days you are not entitled to a refund, but you can still cancel automatic renewal at any time.
Right of return for physical products (14 days):
You can return physical products (e.g., stickers) within 14 days of receiving them. Conditions: The product must be unused and in sellable condition. Return costs: You are responsible for return shipping costs. Instructions: Contact customer service (support(a)kadonneet.fi) for return instructions. Refund: We will refund the product price within 14 days of receiving the return.
Finder Reward and Disclaimer
Finder reward and related terms are solely a matter between the lost item owner and finder. The Controller is not a party to reward payment, its amount, payment method, or related disputes, and the Controller is not responsible for any such obligations or consequences. The Service operates solely as a technical platform for contact. The Controller does not participate in any way in the management, storage, transfer of lost property, or related agreements.
Lost Property and Finder Obligations
The Service is not a lost property office but a technical contact channel. Finders are responsible for all obligations under the Finnish Lost Property Act (778/1988) and other applicable legislation, including: notification to owner or police without undue delay, delivering the item to police if required by law. The Controller does not receive, store, or handle lost property, and is not responsible for the return of lost property, its condition, or related costs.
User Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Accuracy and timeliness of information you provide
- Protecting your account credentials and preventing unauthorized use
- Proper use of Service functions, such as "Mark as lost"
- Content you add to the Service (e.g., images and texts), including that you have the right to use and publish such content and that it does not violate third party rights or law
Prohibited Content
You may not upload or publish content that is: Illegal, offensive, threatening, misleading, pornographic, or otherwise inappropriate Infringing on intellectual property, privacy, or other rights The Controller has the right to remove or block access to such content without notice and, if necessary, close the user account.
Intellectual Property Rights and User Content
All Service content (logos, trademarks, software, texts) is property of the Controller or our licensors and protected by intellectual property rights. You may not copy, modify, or distribute Service content without our explicit permission.
You retain ownership of all content (e.g., images and texts) that you upload to the Service. However, you grant the Controller a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, and transferable license to use, copy, store, modify (e.g., for technical reasons), distribute, and display your content to the extent necessary for providing, maintaining, and developing the Service. Notice about item image visibility: To enable finders to identify your item, a dedicated public page is created for it. This page becomes active and visible only when you mark the item as lost yourself. You control the visibility. It's important to understand how images work technically: When you upload an image, it is stored on our servers and gets its own unique web address (URL). Even if your item's page is not active, this direct image address exists. It's practically impossible to guess, but anyone with this exact address can see the image. This is necessary so we can show the image to the finder immediately when you activate the lost item page. Important security notice: Due to this technical approach, never upload an image containing sensitive or personal information or anything you wouldn't want to share publicly. Image removal: You can permanently remove an image by deleting or changing it from your item details. This removes the image immediately from our servers. Content removal: You may request content removal at any time. We aim to remove content from active systems within 90 days of the request, but removal from backups may take longer, and complete removal cannot be guaranteed before backup rotation.
Service Availability and Interruptions
Maintenance:
We aim to notify of significant maintenance interruptions in advance within reasonable time (target 24 hours).
Force Majeure:
We are not responsible for interruptions due to force majeure events (e.g., natural disasters, war, strikes, government orders). If we must permanently discontinue the Service due to force majeure, we will refund unused subscription time proportionally. We will notify of such situations on our website, by email, or through other communication channels available to us (e.g., social media).
Limitation of Liability
- Service is provided 'as is'. We do not guarantee its uninterrupted or error-free operation and are not responsible for the return of lost items.
- Our liability for all Service-related damages is limited to the amount you have paid for the Service during the past 12 months. We are not liable for any indirect damages (e.g., lost profits or data loss).
- These limitations do not apply to damages caused intentionally or through gross negligence, nor do they limit your mandatory consumer protection rights.
These terms do not limit rights arising from mandatory consumer protection legislation. These liability limitations do not apply in situations where law prohibits limitation of liability.
Campaign Terms
Any discounts and campaigns are valid under terms announced on the website. We reserve the right to modify or terminate campaigns. We will notify of changes on the website and/or through other communication channels (e.g., email or social media).
Dispute Resolution
Complaints and disputes:

- 2. If the matter is not resolved, you can turn to the Consumer Disputes Board (kuluttajariita.fi)
- Disputes are resolved under Finnish law. As a consumer, you can always bring action in your local district court.
Amendment of Terms
We may update these Terms. We will notify of significant changes by email or other permanent means 30 days in advance. By continuing to use the Service, you accept the changes.
Contract Transfer
We may transfer this contract to a third party, e.g., in connection with a business acquisition. We will notify of the transfer in advance.
Pricing and Taxation
All prices are displayed including value-added tax (VAT 25,5%). VAT percentage is clearly shown at checkout. We reserve the right to change prices. We will notify about any yearly subscription price changes in advance by email.
Product Liability
For physical products, we comply with consumer protection law liability for defects, which is separate from cancellation rights. Complaints: support(a)kadonneet.fi.
