Who is this for?

A dog owner's day has a lot of repetition: the same walking routes, the same training locations, the same gear every time. That is exactly why things get forgotten: in a routine you do not always check whether everything is with you.

At dog sports events like agility and obedience competitions, dozens of participants are present with similar-looking supplies. A quality dog harness or carrier costs 50 to 150 euros, and a GPS tracker 100 to 300 euros. A GPS tracker helps only when the device is present and its battery is charged. Leashes, toys and bowls get mixed up easily, and in the rush no one always notices what belongs to whom.

A pet's collar is a special case. If it comes off in the field or park, it is not just a collar. It may carry an ID tag with the owner's details, or it may be the only clue about where the pet was when it went missing.

Typical loss scenarios

Leash in the park

A leash is left in the park while the dog plays. The finder has no idea who it belongs to, so it ends up at the bottom of a lost-and-found trolley.

Pet carrier at the station

A pet carrier is left briefly in a station lobby. Even if a well-meaning person finds it, returning it is difficult without identifying information.

Supplies at dog sports events

At agility or obedience training, pet supplies get mixed up with other participants' belongings. Most look very similar and have no markings.

Collar in the terrain

A dog's collar comes off on forest trails. It is found later, but the finder has no way to reach the owner. Meanwhile concern about the pet's whereabouts may already have set in.

What should you protect?

Leash

Easily left behind in parks and training venues.

Pet carrier or transport bag

Valuable item used at the vet and when travelling.

Pet supplies (toys, bowls)

Easily mixed up with others' belongings in group activities.

Pet collar

Critical identifier. Helps reach the owner even when the collar is found separately from the pet.

How does Kadonneet help?

For pet owners, a QR sticker works in two ways. It helps return lost supplies, but on a pet's collar it can also give a finder a channel to reach the owner directly, without needing a vet or a chip scanner.

When a finder scans the code, they reach a form where they can write where they are and what they found. You receive an email notification and can reply to the finder. Your contact details are not visible anywhere until you decide to share them.

One membership covers all your pet supplies and your other personal belongings.

Frequently asked questions

Can the sticker be attached to a dog's collar?
The sticker can go on the collar itself or on a separate ID disc attached to it. Make sure the surface is clean and dry before attaching.
Does a QR sticker replace microchipping?
No, these are different things. A microchip is the legally required identification method for vets. A QR sticker is a communication channel between the owner and a finder. Both are worth having.
What if the finder finds only the collar, not the pet?
That is still useful information. The finder reports where the collar was found, which tells you which area to search. Finding the collar can significantly narrow the search.
Can the service be used for cats too?
The service suits all pets. A sticker can go on a cat's collar or carrier.
Are contact details visible on the stickers?
No. Stickers show only the QR code. Contact can only be made through the form, so your details stay protected.
